The fall
The versions for the old PS4 and Xbox One consoles were almost unplayable. Sony temporarily pulled the game from its store and the studio issued refunds. It was an example of why releasing an unfinished game does not pay.
The comeback
The studio kept fixing the game, released the anime series Edgerunners (2022) and in 2023 update 2.0 with reworked systems. Today the game has excellent reviews.
Technology
Cyberpunk is a showcase of cutting-edge graphics. The Overdrive mode with full path tracing shows where ray tracing is heading.
