Agents and guns
Each agent has four abilities: smokes, flashes, healing, recon. Guns and economy resemble Counter-Strike, so accuracy decides, not the abilities themselves.
Fighting cheaters
The Vanguard anti-cheat runs at kernel level from system start. It is effective, but some players criticise its deep access. Other games, including Rainbow Six Siege, are taking a similar path.
Esports
The VCT professional circuit has international leagues and the Champions world championship. Since 2024 Valorant is also on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
